11am CHANTING, MEDITATION & Book Discussion
12pm NOON - Veggie LUNCH (IMAGINE VEGAN CAFE will Cater Lunch while Monastery prepares for Vietnamese NEW YEAR)
1pm or so - DEEP RELAXATION and GUIDED IMAGERY - led by Elaine Blanchard, "Storyteller"
2pm or so - WALKING MEDITATION
2:30pm or so - GROUP DISCUSSION and BOOK STUDY - TOPIC: THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS: The Foundation of Buddhist Thought, Author: Geshe Tashi Tsering (Book available on AMAZON.com or through Local Bookstores)
WHAT TO BRING: As you see in Photo - Yoga and the Deep Relaxation and Guided Imagery Segments may involve lying on the Floor. It is WINTER, we have tile floors, so the floor is COLD!!! Bring thick Blankets you can make into a pallet, or sleeping bags, and yoga mats & yoga supplies.Dress in Layers! WEAR THICK SOCKS! SEVERAL PAIRS (2 or 3 Pair)! and SLIP-ON SHOES. 1:00 p.m. Deep Relaxation (Listen to Meditative Music while Reclining or Lie Down)

What to Bring: An inquiring mind, and a compassionate heart. And bring a friend.
Meditation Cushion; Soft Mat or Blanket to lie on floor for Deep Relaxation segment; Loose, Comfortable Clothing; and whatever Meditation supports make you comfortable.
The Monastery has plenty of Mats with Meditation Cushions for sitting meditation, however, you may be more comfortable bringing your own. (Just be sure you label it, or can identify it, so you can be sure to take it home with you at the end of the day.) The Monastery does not have any Mats for lying down on the floor for the Deep Relaxation segment. Bring whatever will make you comfortable for this segment of the day.
